The Canon's read

Tarot Canon's own assessment, written for this catalog.

Tillie Walden was the youngest creator ever to win comics' Eisner Award, and her Cosmic Slumber Tarot brings that graphic-novel fluency to a premise tarot should have claimed long ago: dreams as the model for how the impossible gets accepted without question. The deck's eighty cards run energetic and youthful, Walden's flowing linework turning the arcana into a continuous dreamscape where architecture melts and figures drift, sleep surrealism as a complete visual grammar. Comic artists make natural tarot designers, sequential storytelling in single frames is their whole craft, and Walden's version reads with the immediacy of a page you cannot stop turning. The RWS base keeps meanings reachable while the dream logic loosens them productively. It suits younger readers and Walden's graphic-novel audience, dream-workers, and anyone who wants a deck that feels in motion. This catalog consolidated its duplicate records here, one entry for one deck. Readers needing waking-world crispness should let this one sleep.
