Tarot Canon

There are thousands of tarot and oracle decks - and no trustworthy, beautiful place to find, compare, and remember them. Discovery is scattered across feeds, marketplaces, and forums; the deck that called to you last year can be impossible to track down today. Tarot Canon is the reference that should already exist.

We profile every deck - 1,914 and counting - with its art, creators, system, themes, and the story of how it came to be. We also cover the 78 cards themselves: their symbolism, correspondences, and meanings, written for reflection and self-knowledge, not fortune-telling.

We celebrate the artists. Tarot is made by people - often independent creators, often queer and BIPOC artists leading the craft forward. We credit them loudly and point you to buy directly from them.

We are a reference, not a store. We never sell decks, so we can tell you the truth about them. We may earn a small commission when you buy through an outbound link - that is the whole model. No incentive to push, only to be right.
