The Unfolding Path Tarot is created by artist Athene Noctua, who has previously created several Oracle decks Fated: A Pocket Love Oracle, The Witchs Familiar Runic Oracle, and The Crystal Ball Pocket Oracle. The Unfolding Path Tarot is loosely based on the Rider Waite Smith deck, but features modern imagery, is inclusive in nature, and has a diverse range of characters. Recently several decks have been published that embrace diversity and feature people of many races and skin colours, ages, abilities and disabilities, genders and sexualities The Unfolding Path Tarot is part of this new tradition. The Unfolding Path Tarot is a fully illustrated classic 78 card deck with 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards. The Major Arcana has no renamed cards and follows the Rider-Waites ordering (as opposed to the Tarot of Marseille ordering where the positions of Justice and Strength are reversed). The Minor Arcana is divided into 4 suits Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Each suit has 10 number cards and 4 Court cards. The Court cards are Page, Knight, Queen, and King in that order.
