In these turbulent times we could all use a dose of good fortune, and the Good Fortune Tarot is here to give the Seeker a little advantage in life. But what is Fortune? Well, according to the Good Fortune Field Guide good fortune is "good luck, little things going our way, big things falling painlessly into our laps" both blessings and miracles. The Field Guide further clarifies its philosophy regarding good fortune, and not without taking a sly dig at manifestation techniques "if we wanted badly enough and cut up enough magazines". It starts by defining the components of good fortune, which is free will, fate and chance, and destiny. Free will of course is the idea that we are free to do whatever we want whenever we want to do it... which we also know is a bit of a myth. We cant always exercise free will, but we do have choices. Fate on the other hand is all the things that we dont choose including the mundane circumstances of our earthly existence, randomness, and the wholly unsolicited interventions of the trickster gods.
