The Canon's read

Tarot Canon's own assessment, written for this catalog.

Susan Seddon Boulet's paintings, luminous, layered figures where woman, animal and spirit share one outline, defined a whole visual register of goddess spirituality, and these forty-eight knowledge cards from Pomegranate put her goddesses directly into readers' hands. Pomegranate is an art publisher, not an esoteric house, and the product shows that lineage: each card is fundamentally a small Boulet print with a goddess's story in tow, the knowledge of the title being mythological literacy as much as divinatory message. The archive review's provenance, a working medium's personal deck gifted across an ocean, captures how these cards actually travel: as beloved objects passed between practitioners. Boulet's early death left a bounded body of work, which gives the deck a memorial quality for her admirers. It suits admirers of visionary art first, goddess-study readers, gift-givers, and collectors of the art-card tradition where galleries and divination briefly shared a wall. Systematic oracle users should note this deck's wisdom arrives painting-first.
