Thirty-three animals of the Celtic world, painted by Will Worthington and organized by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm, two of the central figures of modern Druidry. The scholarship is worn lightly: each beast arrives with its mythological footing rather than a generic totem keyword, which is what separates this deck from the crowd of animal oracles that treat a fox as a mood. Worthington paints the way he later would for the Camelot Oracle, weathered and inhabited, animals in real landscapes rather than symbols on a void. The archive's reviewer called it a first deck chosen because the word tarot intimidated, and that entry path is the deck's genuine strength. It asks no structure of you, reads one card at a time as comfortably as in layouts, and rewards a reader who comes for the animals and stays for the mythology. One of the canon's most defensible beginner recommendations.
