Daughters of the Moon Tarot (B&W)

Ffiona Morgan's Daughters of the Moon is a document of feminist spirituality's card-making moment: a collaborative, self-published women's tarot, here in its black-and-white edition of seventy-five cards. The count alone announces revision rather than inheritance, and the collective authorship (assorted hands alongside Morgan's) was the point: a deck of the movement, made the way the movement organized. B&W editions of decks like this served a practical tradition too, uncolored cards a reader could hand-color into her own. As a reading instrument it belongs to the goddess-spirituality current, moon-centered and woman-centered, and it reads best inside that practice rather than as a neutral tool. As a collector's object it marks where self-publishing, feminism and tarot intersected before any of that was easy.
