Cowgirls and Aliens might be, no scratch that, definitely is the most fun Oracle deck Ive ever come across. Influenced by the artists love of Westerns and sci-fi movies this 36 card Oracle deck is bristling with good humour and wisdom. Ellie Grant who both conceptualised and created the Aliens and Cowgirls Oracle says that while she didnt have much in the way of spiritual influences in her life she found inspiration in pop culture. She acknowledges that while both sci-fi and westerns did have some strong female characters many were defined in relationship to the masculine hero. The Cowgirls and Aliens Oracle is a bit of an antidote to these ultra masculine narratives a place where women run the town and captain the spaceships. Think Firefly with a gender flip.
