Johnathan Kereve-Clarke's Cornish Tarot, self-published in 2005, works the regional register at its most committed: Cornwall's Celtic-influenced character across a full seventy-eight cards, a county's landscape, legend and identity carried in a deck the way the Forest Folklore carries the New Forest and the Sacred Isle carries the holy coasts. Cornwall's material is rich for the purpose, a land of saints, wrecks, tinners and standing stones, Celtic but distinctly its own, Kernow rather than generic Albion.
