Murry Hope built the Cartouche system with Martin Jones as its own Egyptian oracle: twenty-five cards of pharaonic symbols, gods and sacred emblems, a divination method she authored complete with its own literature through Ostaris. Unlike the Egyptian-styled tarots on this shelf, the Cartouche is not tarot at all; Hope, a serious writer on Egyptian mystery tradition, designed a freestanding system, the cartouche frame as its unifying device.
