Brotherhood of Light Egyptian

This is a curriculum deck in the strictest sense: the working companion to C. C. Zain's The Sacred Tarot, published by the Church of Light, whose Brotherhood of Light lessons organized a whole American esoteric education in the early twentieth century. The 1936 date places it in the same generational moment as the B.O.T.A. deck, and the two make an instructive pair: rival mystery schools, each issuing an Egyptian-flavored tarot as a textbook, each treating the cards as diagrams of doctrine rather than art objects. The Egyptian framing is the era's genealogy claim made visible, tarot presented as descending from Egyptian initiation, a belief history does not support but which shaped the entire tradition.
