AI refers to artificial intelligence – computer programs and systems which perform tasks which have been traditionally performed by humans (and still are) such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, decision-making, and perceiving in order to optimise chances of achieving goals. In a hyper- ironic splat of post post-modernism this paragraph is a paraphrasing of a definition generated by a system, to define itself. Artificial intelligence art is AI generated visual arts. Which is basically artwork enhanced or created using AI programs. Most of these programs are called text-to-image, and are widely available to the public. The user describes what they want the AI to create and often selects one of the available art styles to further refine their desired outcome. The AI then generates an image which can be further refined using the same methods over and over again or enhanced using digital art methods.
